I hear you, but wanting something and being ready for it are two distinctly different things. They need to plan for this, not just do it and hope. Hope often doesn't go far in the real world. A dream without planning and work is just a fantasy. Also, they actually beat the English back in the Middle Ages. King Robert the Bruce beat the English bloody, although he came close to losing before he prevailed. They chose to unite with England back around four of five hundred years ago. That said, the people who chose to unite were not the people, it was the nobility and the wealthy. The people weren't for it, as the multitude of uprisings prove.

United we stand divided we fall- this is the lesson that Scotland should take. The world around us is getting bigger and more complex, we need to stay together.
