Breakfast Shed

Should the Breakfast Shed, at open air eating restaurant catered by individual stalls, be moved in order to promote progress at the POS Port or should they be allowed to remain where they are at present?

Shed Breakfast

I was talking about this with a History Teacher at the school and she was giving me the history behind these breakfast sheds. It seems to me that these people should be allowed to stay where they are, they have been there for years! and it is part of the history of Trinidad and Tobago. The only way I could be in agreement to that is if they are moving them to a better place, but no...they want to move them to a VERY small space. It is not fair. These people have been cooking their creole food there for such a long time, they were there before they even had running water (I am talking about the 70's). I think Trinidad and Tobago need to respect certain cultural passages that are around, it seems to me that in the name of "modernization" they are breaking a lot of buildings that are very historical. Shame.

They should be allowed to stay. However, I do believe the facilities should be improved. It can become a tourism asset with the proper improvements, then it can serve both locals and tourists alike.

Shed Breakfast

In my opinion if they are doing well for your business and people like them as they are, then why change a good thing. Maybe the reason business is so booming I because of those sheds. Then again if they are not helping and are but a nuisance then by all means ask them to move, politely.
