I love to read when I have the time. Right now I am re-reading an old horror/fantasy favorite by Clive Barker, "Weaveworld". Exellent adventure, highly recommend it. I just finished reading Robert Heinlein's 30th anniversary UNCUT edition of "Stranger in a Strange Land". If you read the 1961 edited release, do yourself a favor and try to find the uncut edition. The '61 version was missing about 1/4 of the original text. It is interesting to note that in the foreward to the 30th anniversary edition, there was no mention that the book had been banned for many years. When it was originally released it was deemed too controversial in the way it portrayed politics, religion, human intimacy, etc.
I would love to read more if I had the time. Right now I am reading The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, but I am not progressing very well, and a lot of times I end up starting the book over because it has been so long.
Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" -- a classic, but some of it is kind of hard to take... about 3/4 of the way through that.
Also just finished Book Three of "The Tawny Man" series, Robin Hobb's third fantasy trilogy all based on the same timeframe and folk. Awesome! And of course leaves a LOT of room for another trilogy....
Also reading (and re-reading) a couple of in-depth religious "papers" that you can't quite call "books"
And of course the scriptures (nearly) every day.
Whew!

What single BOOK??
I never read a single book. Maybe that is why I don't always finish them.
Right now, I am reading Into the Darkness by Harry Turtledove. I love his work, as it is almost all based on "alternate history" concepts. However, sometimes he is a boring writer.
I am always going back and rereading everything by David Weber.
At the moment, I am still trying to get through Isaiah Decoded by Avraham Gileadi. It certainly is very interesting, but I find it is so deep that I have to read a bit then think about it all for a while. It helps that I have Gileadi's new translation of Isaiah handy. I will admit though that I don't spend as much time on this project as I need to.
