I am currently reading "The Last Jews In Berlin" by Leonard Gross. Basically, it's about a handful of men and women that were protected by a few..this is the story of a dozen Jews who lived out the war years in the very eye of the nazi storm. It makes for some riveting reading.
Also, I am reading a fictional novel by Harry Turtledove, titled "In the Presence of Mine Enemies", which is an alternative history story about Jews living secret lives in a world in which the nazis won the second world war and they have to keep their identities secret for survival.
Reading both at the same time, alternative fiction, and fact, makes for some intersting perspectives..
I have just finished reading Da Vinci's Code and Angels and Demons, both by Dan Brown..and there's just one word to sum them both up..WOW! I have never, ever, in the quest to achieve my personal goal of reading every possible piece of great literature, come across a book of its type!..His amazing ability to mix facts with fiction, to produce educational fiction that boggles the mind and creates controversy at a healthy level calls for my respect. The tons of research placed into the book is obvious and considering my obsession with all things European, particularly art, literature, history and architecture, it was a definite treat. A MUST Read for sure!
I am in the process of reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I've tried to read it a few times in the past but wasn't able to really get into it because I had so much required reading for my English or Literature classes. Now, thoug, I have finally been able to get into it and I'm having to restrict myself on when and how long I read it. If I'm not careful, I get so caught up in reading it that I lose track of time, and I don't have that much extra time to do that. Plus, if I try reading it before classes, that's all my mind can focus on. It's definately a good book.

I am FINALLY getting to read Eragon. I got about 10 books for Christmas, and it is the last of them, save for Will in the World, which is just academic enough to wait until after HP6 comes out.
Eragon is a good read so far and not very difficult, which is nice for bedtime reading. I can already foresee that I will buy the second of Paolini's books, Eldest.
