ATTALLA, Ala. (AP) - At a doublewide trailer along a dirt road in rural Alabama, authorities say 9-year-old Savannah Hardin was forced to run for three hours as punishment for having lied to her grandmother about eating candy bars. The severely dehydrated girl had a seizure and her death days later was ruled a homicide. Ref. Source 1

That is beyond sick! 9 years old and running for three hours can best even top athletes. You bet this is a homicide and for candy bars? What the heck, the world is nasty and this woman is part of the filth.

In a follow-up to this case the grandmother and stepmother are now in jail with charges but what is still trying to be solved by police is whether Savannah Hardin was verbally or physically commanded to run for that long. Updates here: Source 9

Could it be... And I'm just being hypothetical here, that Savannah Hardin just ran that amount out of frustration and its not that they really wanted her to run for so long? I'm only saying that because the witnesses said they did not see anyone following her as she ran and she could of gone to a neighbors house for help.

VERY strange case but we have to take into consideration that probably this child was physically and verbally abused. If that's the case, she would be terrified of her grandmother and mother and they didn't need to be there physically to impose the punishment because the little girl would be so terrified that she would do it no matter what.
