I don't live in Trinidad anymore, but I get the feeling that the Warriors are just content to be at the World Cup with no regard on their performance. Play 3 games and go home heroes. Someone tell me I am wrong about this!

Well I certainly hope that is not the case. If you start getting teams that think this way maybe it is time to re-think the amount of teams involved.

I think T&T could pull an upset result as far as a draw, but isn't strong enough to beat their opponents. If they can draw with someone it could cause havoc in their group.

It is a remarkable achievement for such a small country to qualify in the first place.

I believe at this stage it is very much like that. In the beginning, as they just qualified they were talking much bigger, but it has simmered down. Hopefully when they are actually there that they will awaken to the cause and not become mundane in the task.

They should never think like that. They earnt the right to be there and should fight tooth and nail to progress. Football is a game of 11 vs 11. Once you are out on that field reputations mean nothing.

I guess I don't understand LDS_forever. They have to play England because they are in the same group. What I was trying to say is that it seems T&T is just content to play the 3 games in their group, and not achieve to go past Group play.

Rougier does not ring a bell for me, mostly because I didn't get to see any of the T&T qualification matches. Was he an integral part of the team during the CONACAF preliminaries?

T&T got beat handily by a Slovenian team 3-1 in a recent friendly. Slovenia did not even qualify for the World Cup tournament, but their striker scored a hat trick against a suspect T&T squad. I hope this is a wake up call for the 'Warriors'. They play the Czech Republic, a World Cup contender, in a few days.
