Somalia
Somalia has no government. Recently the BBC featured a story about a man who started a Coca-Cola company there. In order for him to keep the business from being looted he was sure to make the residents shareholders. Most businesses have their own militia to protect their interests. One businessman hires over 1000 trained ex-soldiers to guard his miniature port which is a transit hub to import goods for the country.
The international community abandoned this country, even the USA tried and was not successful. What are your thoughts about Somalia?
The Somalia's situation is extremely delicate. I don't know what could really take in order to make a change over there but whatever change that they may try again, will mean LOTS of lives will be lost again.

If there is any country the UN should be fixing is this place - there is no government there - they are all like wild beasts doing whatever they want based on the principle of the strongest survives. Now islamists are once again taking over, will this be the excuse to move in?

Sometimes one has to wonder which one is better: overlords or extremist? If Islamic ways are enforced among the people then will things be better? This is a case of being caught in between a 'rock' and a hard place. How come the world is not rushing to the aide of these people?
