Shuster's heirs aren't getting more from Kal El! Good news for DC Comics:
Even though Superman is an icon I feel that he is a poor character. He is basically a god. If his enemies have kryptonite he is in great trouble. Otherwise he is unstoppable. Most super heroes aren't invulnerable. They have more than one weakness. It is boring to me that Superman has only kryptonite as a weakness. . His only problem is how to overcome his enemy having kryptonite. In every Superman movie you just know his enemy will have kryptonite. It's too predictable.

Also another weakness that one can consider, is the fact he has no defenses or resistances against magic. Thus making Superman is vulnerable against any characters that make use of magic.
Another consideration is, given how he does have super senses, there would be the idea offered that it would be possible to either create a device or to offer a superpower that negatively harms one of Superman's super senses given how they would be more sensitive to stimulation.
Finally, there is the fact that despite all of Superman's powers he is still one person and that he can't be everywhere at once. More, despite his strong moral foundation there is the fact that morality isn't always black and white or the answer always something that you can use power against.
Superman needs to be careful in what he does and how he uses his powers. Much like his "World of Cardboard" speech to Darkseid or how things played out involving The Elite. He cannot come off as a tyrant or dictator, cause more harm then can be avoided, he does not went people to fear him.
Superman, despite all his power, cannot overcome all evil with force or his powers alone. At least not without people growing to resent or fear him. That he cannot cannot be judge, jury, and executioner.
When he's at his strongest, when the most interesting stories are created for him, it is when Superman is presented with the situation that is more of a moral dilemma then simply something powerful to punch. An attack on one's character and beliefs then on their body.
What we need, is more heroes or people that challenge the cynicism and negativity of this age. Of showing that no, we don't have to be bastards, jackasses, cruel or selfish that we can be more. That flaws can be overcome, unsteady of simply accepting that world is messed up. Hope, a belief in the potential of mankind, of selflessness and willingness to strive for a better world.
