I met Hubert Humphrey once, I'm not sure if he's a celebrity but he was the Vice-president of the US. That's all, I guess I've lived a sheltered life.
I saw Allysa Millano on a restaurant in Seattle. She was very quiet and I think she was trying not to be seen. by the time we realized it was her she was already out of the restaurant.
At the O'Hare airport in Chicago I met Charlie Murphy who is Eddie Murphy's younger brother. You may say he is not a true celebrity, but he has become very popular recently from his antics on the Dave Chappelle Show.
I believe it was only a couple of years after he had retired, but I sat next to Franco Harris on a plane ride from Pittsburgh to Atlanta. Franco Harris was a famous football player (american football) for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who helped them win 4 Super Bowls. He was a very intelligent guy as we talked more about his business ventures. He has been quite successful in the business world since retiring from football.
However, I had to ask him a few questions about his playing days. Always being asked what it was like playing with Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swann and Mike Webster, he kinda chuckled when I asked what it was like playing with John Stallworth.
By the end of the ride, he actually thanked me for not harrassing him about football that much and that it was fairly unusual for fans to do that.

I met Bob Hope when I was a teenager, but sadly I didn't know who he was. The movie Mischeif (terrible movie) was filmed right where we lived and he was there. People often went out at night to see scenes being shot. I somehow got behind the roped off area and wandered into a tent by myself. He was standing there, so I walked up and shook his hand, introducing myself. We talked for a minute, then it must have become obvious to him that I didn't know who he was. He said, "Don't you know who I am?" I felt terrible that I did not, and I sheepishly said that I didn't and could he please tell me. He stopped talking to me and never did tell me. I found out later before I left that night.
