Cornel West and Carl Dix on Race and Politics in the Age of Obama
One week after the NAACP's 100th anniversary celebrations, we speak to Princeton University professor Cornel West and Carl Dix of the Revolutionary Communist Party about the current state of Black America. West is a professor of religion and African American studies at Princeton University and the author of numerous books on race. Dix is a founding member of the Revolutionary Communist Party and was one of six GIs in 1970 who refused orders to go to Vietnam and served two years in prison for his stance. Ref. Source 6

You are right, the "Communist" party won't succeed. However, by its very radical message, it makes the radical socialist messages of Obama and Co. Sound almost rational. By being so far on the fringe of the Left, they pull all of the discussion to the left, making socialism and even communism (lite) sound mainstream.

Communist Party USA seeks to take back the 4th of July
The Communist Party held their annual conference a little closer to July 4th this year because they wanted to 'take back' the meaning of the holiday. Yes, the Communists here in America actually believe that at some point in history, July 4th and Communism had something in common. The crowd listening actually applauded this idea. Isn't it amazing how when you just 'change our history' people go along with it? Ref. Source 3
