Firstly why did it take so long to arrest the guy. Also I am wondering if he will be found guilty. Casey Anthony walked and it was pretty apparent to me she was guilty.
Even if it was self defense, why shoot and kill the kid. Really he is like half your size and unarmed. How much of a serious threat did he pose, come on people.

A Florida judge today set bond at $150,000 for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer charged in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder after the case sparked a heated, national debate over racial profiling and saw thousands of protesters demand Zimmerman's arrest.
Martin's family contends Zimmerman racially profiled their son, who was walking back from a convenience store in Sanford, Florida, when he was killed on February 26. Zimmerman was charged on April 11.
Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, maintains he acted in self-defense. His family says he did not profile Martin.
The case has also stirred debate over Florida's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law, which allows people to use deadly force when they feel a reasonable threat of death or serious injury. Ref. CNN
Wow the police chief is resigning. I am thinking there are some dark dealings going on behind the scenes here. People like that only back down for two reasons. One they are being forced to proceed in a matter that is ethically unacceptable to them or two someone has really bad dirt on them. I am thinking the police chief's arm is being twisted by someone higher up than him.
