Does the Bible say anything about people who want to be Transexual?

Bible and Transsexual

God was pretty clear on this Man is not to lie with man nor women with woman and sodomy is a sin. Even if you wish to pretend you are not a man when you are you are still bond by this judgment like it or not.

I think the other sexual gender issue of being hermaphrodite is addressed also but I am beating my brains trying to recall where and what was said.

Okay but what about if the transexual person lives a celibate life? Is he/she under condemnation?

The Bible does not actually say thou shalt not be a transsexual, but it does give verses liken to it, especially in the Old Testament. I will not go into deeper verses, but here is one example from the New Testament showing that men should not keep their hair as a woman would:

Thanks for that reminder I often use off site on line bibles.

But LDS_Forever I knew it was here so look up Deuteronomy 22.

5) The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

I think that it is pretty clear any transsexual is damming them selves at the very start. Just because they feel they are girls that were trapped in a males body or visa verca Gods words are clear. Also we are no to mar our selves with a knife or pictures. I would think an operation to changed gender would fall into this category also.

I do not think there is no new behaviors today then there was back in the time of Moses just better tools to further assist the deprivation. I am still looking into the hermaphrodite. I do believe they were disfavored and to be put to death as they were deemed the produce of sinful behaviors. I am just still missing the book it is in.

I can go on and on about this verse but if women follow the first part why are they allowed to wear pants and don't have to wear skirts. Do you have a fence around the roof of your house? Is the clothing that you are wearing of mixed fiber? Do you have fringes on 4 quarters of your clothing? How can someone with birth defect be forced to follow Deuteronomy 22.5 but no one else as live by those rules?

Beth I am not sure that when one says to act as a women when ye are a man it takes defects into account. I do think that if a child is born a hermaphrodite it will still grow up and have a prevalent sex. Then one could remove the appropriate appendage to adjust to a relationship that is acceptable to God.

I would think today hormone testing and such could be done to discover the true sexuality of the child. Then from an early age it could be done. I do not think it would ever be 100% but might let the child have a more normal life and not be gender confused.

The moral issues and scientific issues in any of these choices would be astronomical and no one will know if the right choice was made till they hit adult hood. Even putting the chance that they may be gay in nature to start.

Comments: Ok Hermaphrodites were just not born. You see the people of Israel were supposed to be kept holy. If they abided by the rules, their lives were normal. But if there was a trace amount of sin, such as there is in other Royalties or other "Empires", it will be found out by the birth of a child. (usually). All these birth defects and stuff going on has to do with greed and sin. Just look at our world around us. Most people who become gay have been subject to child abuse, physically, mentally, emotionally. Other still have become gay either do to peer pressure, to just 'try it' and in the end there are astronomical consequences! Its like this, follow the rules of God and trust me---your life will be so much better...
