Cindy Sheehan's actions, in my opinion, have been more damaging to the US than anything else. I understand that she is against the war, and she is definitely not the only one who feels that way. However, associating with individuals such as Venezuelan president Chavez and making anti-US remarks is not a way to protest the war. She should respect what her son did for his country, and while protesting the war and the administration that decided to go to war, still realize that her son and other soldiers are fighting for their country, and for the freedoms she enjoys in the US.

Some call it an epiphany....

She realizes that she was being used by the Democrats and when she served her purpose or rather stopped serving it, they dismissed her. I think the telling part to all of it is the title that she gave the on-line letter. I do think she realizes now that she sold a bit of her self out in her protest as well and has regrets and explanations on why she did it. It is a shame she lost so much, but she truly was in control of the stakes and while the attention was there...no price was high enough...even her family and health.

If I could give her a piece of advice, I would tell her to go back and try to re-earn the title of Mom. Save the excuses and explanations, just try to make things better from that point on. Who knows...maybe that husband might be willing to talk to her now that the spotlights glow is quite a bit less now. He obviously cared for her to stay as long as he did with her during this campaign...

Looks like that spotlight is a bit harder to give up than she thought. Not only is she still in high gear on the anit-war front, she is thinking about trying to dethrown Mrs. Pelosi, unless Pelosi's democratic congress put forth a article for the impeachment of the President.

She really has lost so much in all of this...her son, her husband, her remaining children and her health. Her primary backers (the democrats) have abandoned her and all she has left is her core anti-war group. She really needs to stop getting further into this or there will be more losses for her. Politics is a really dirty game and she knows the games that the republicans play, but is just starting to feel the jabs from her former democrat backers now that she fulfilled her usefulness.

I really don't care much for her politics, but as a person, I hate to see her running into the buzzsaw that I see as the end of this effort. She still has children left and is missing out on their lives.

Some people enter a mental state that has a point of no return. It is like being in shock forever. Maybe the death of her son was too much for her and she lost it then. Maybe the media helped to boost the normalcy of her 'abnormal' behavior. Maybe something will hopefully help her to realize that it is better to live for the living than for the dead.
