It seems as though lots of people would like this game. Most gamers are nerds that have been picked on by bullies. I don't think it will cause more school violence. The idea that school violence has been caused by video games is baseless and silly. School violence, while more widely shown in the media, has actually gone down in the last twenty years. It just amazes me that people think they have the right to tell people that they can't play this or that game. What about my rights as a parent to decide what games my kids can play?

I would still class myself as a kid and have had problems with bullies when I was younger but this game is ludacris! I haven't even played it but from the previews I saw me and all my friends agreed not to EVER play it. More and more useless games like these seem to be coming out. Being an avid GTA fun I am very disappointed in Rockstar with this newest release.

I have never liked the whole grand theft auto series and refuse to allow my kids to have it or play it. Any game that promotes killing cops or beating on others just for fun can lead to violence. Granted most kids know it is a just a game. Then you look at kids playing. They act out things they have done on video games and from tv. A good example is WWE or what ever it is now. As long as kids think these kinds of entertainment is fun to watch and then act out your going to have trouble. My kids have a lot of games but we try to monitor what games they have and what the game details are. A harsh or strong violence game usually does not make it into my home. Granted some fantasy games have but they have to be 15 to play them. We know who is playing what because the game controllers are kept by my wife and I. This also makes sure they are doing homework and not playing on the xbos, the 360, or the ps2.

Unless they saved up and bought their own stash of game pads or better yet they borrowed one from someone. Teens will do all kinds of things to get a game in, I know cause I was there once wink.gif.

Sadism, violence and sex sells. You will notice that in part of the clip there was a kissing scene and adults advocating that the kids need to defend themselves. Then we have some here saying that these things do not affect the normal person, it just entertainment. My question is... "Who is normal these days?"

The game looks a bit..stupid to me. Now I could be wrong, but thats just what I think. But, what I was going to say is, didn't they have a game similar to this several years ago? I know what game you are talking about, I saw a commercial for it not to long ago and I could help but get the funny feeling of de ja vu(sp?).

As for games causing violence, I don't believe that. People are naturally violent. Some more so then others. I think it is just shows more with kids because they are younger and hormones and such.
