New Hampshire judge forces child to go to public school
A divorced couple fought in court over where their daughter should attend school - either continued homeschooling with mom, or public school as dad wished. The court eventually ruled, even though the girl was academically superior and wanted to continue homeschooling, that the girl's "vigorous defense of her religious beliefs to (her) counselor suggests strongly that she has not had the opportunity to seriously consider another point of view." This makes me sick! This girl's father, in my opinion, is pushing the issue simply to upset his ex-wife. In the process, he's harming his daughter irreparably by sending her to public school. The inferior education is mixed with permissive attitudes about dress, sex, gender issues, foul language, etc. It's the equivalent of throwing her to the wolves.

The judge should have continued to make life as normal as possible for the child and not cater for the whims of the fighting parents. If she's doing well then why take her out of that environment?
