I lie and say that I don't love you.
Your just a friend to me.
I covered up the world's eyes
so no one would ever see
I love you more than life itself
the sun, the moon, the stars
I hide my tears behind a smile and cover up my scars.
To hold you is the most impossible thing
to love you is not right.
To look into your gorgeouse eyes
to think of you at night.
To simply fly on thoughts of you
when I get distressed
Softly thinking of your lips
when I get depressed.
But, these thoughts and dreams are wishes
that will not come true.
How long will I be able to live alone
Secretly loving you?
When will you finally notice?
When will you truely see?
That I love you more than life
And we were meant to be.
Xtra, I hope you are compiling these for publication. Or, maybe you should think about being a song writer. Country music would probably especially be suited for the types of poems you have been writing lately.
Wow that was amazing. You have described how I feel most of the time. I write love poetry also, if you would like to hear some of it please don't hesitate to email me at sara_sidle_csi2003@yahoo.ca I would love to share it with someone with similar feelings...
