Bounty Killer Arrested

Dub Music King, 'Bounty Killer' was arrested today in Port of Spain, Trinidad after performing a concert the night before in which he used foul language as part of his act. Why do these fellas think they sound good when they do this? Elephant Man, another popular artiste in the same realm was carded to perform, but did not after seeing Bounty Killer's act.

That is unusual to hear, because here in the US, almost all musical performers seem to use foul language when they are live on the stage. I think if an artist puts out records and albums that have explicit lyrics or are labeled as for Mature audiences, then it should be expected that their concerts contain the same type of language. Are the rules in Trinidad different in that foul language is not allowed in any concert, period?

I could not believe it when I heard the news about this, basically because in these shows where comedians perform in different parts of Trinidad, they not only say dirty jokes, extremely low in all the sense of the word, but they use foul language all the time! the f...word is common everywhere!. Now, I'm not justyfing the behaviour of the guy, but come on Trinidad and Tobago! This is happening all the time...why are you all so amazed about it????

The update to this... Bounty Killer appeared before a judge who denied him bail after he denied using foul language during his act (and probably towards the police). He then hired two more lawyers who got him to see a high court judge and he pleaded guilty and apologized to everyone. He did this so he could leave the country to return to Jamaica for a performance tomorrow.

As for the comments above. This is not the first time this has happened. Lauren Hill came down and she started to use a lot of bad words and they shut her down instantly. Yes, it is against the law to use such language in a public setting. I am all for it because such low talk can insight riots as did on the night he performed - the police had to use gas to disperse the crowds.

Arrested Killer Bounty

Several years ago Rapper DMX was arrested in Trinidad for using profanity. But what I really notice about the Dancehall community. Is all the gay bashing lyrics in the songs. Every song you hear Batty Boy or Chi-Chi Man this. Elephant Man was recently arrested in England for gay bashing lyrics.

In a related incident:

BEENIE MAN BARRED FROM MTV CONCERT

Dancehall star Beenie Man, who has recorded anti-gay songs in the past, was
yanked from a concert associated with the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend
after gay groups planned a protest, the network said Wednesday.

It seems like the world is becoming intolerable of this kind of music - thank goodness!

Buju Banton's earlier music use to be full of gay bashing lyrics. But now that he's a Rasta , he has cleaned his act up. Is Beenie Man a Rasta ? And if so , I thought Rasta's sing about positive things.
