Biotech Pharmaceutical

My wife is involved in pharmaceuticals, so I will offer my 2 cents here. Pharmacists are very much in demand and are very well paid these days. A pharmacist straight out of college can easily rake in $60,000 - $70,000 US with signing bonuses reaching $15,000 - $20,000. Now with that being said, getting into Pharmacy school is very competitive, mostly because there are not enough Schools of Pharmacy out there. Be prepared to have all your prerequisites done before applying and you should have a GPA of 3.2 or above to be serioulsy considered. Experience working in a pharmacy, even if it is a small local one, is also highly recommended. The Pharmacy program itself will run you four solid years, plus a year of clinicals. In the end however, it will be very financially fulfilling and one can pick where they would like to work, because of how many opportunities are out there. Good luck!
