You know what I find, in my school anyway, if a girl meet a guy and they being to hang out, AS FRIENDS everyone says that either one or the other like each other. I just don't get it, what's wrong with just being friends, people see it as it should lead to something more, but really, it's only a friendship. What's your opinion?
I think that people our age, your age, you know..are really insecure. They see other people "living" and they try to bring attention to it to avoid attention from themselves. Also i think the media really influences this whole boy/girlfriend thing, and thats what teens want. "love" When they see two first its like shabam! ^_^.

I know what you're talking about as well KimmyKoo. That was always the case at my older school. Though when I moved and went to a charter school in the arts, I found that things were really relaxed. And hey, I get along with guys better than girls normally, so there was quite a group of friends that I got pulled into. It's comfortable to have friends of the same gender and the opposite. But yeah, I'll agree that people have told me on numerous occasions that they thought one of the guys liked me. Heh, I'll forever be confused on how though.
Throughout my life my closest friends have always been of the opposite sex. It was kind of awkward especially if one of my female friends starting dating my guy friends. It was almost jealousy, because they were my friends and they just, stole them away.
One of my best friends started dating this girl I didn't know and she instantly thought he was cheating on her with me.
my mom allows my guy friends to stay over and hang and has never questioned it.
Let people think what they want, its you that knows that truth.
