How Are Guest Comments Approved?

Comments: I have posted stuff here in the past as a guest and seen it made public real fast. Sometimes I don't see it appear at all but I guess because my remarks weren't too kosher. What is the method used here for guest comments to get approved?

Hi BC! Moderators check over your submission to make sure your input meets our guidelines and is on topic. If it meets both then they add it right away. If it doesn't they may try to 'repair' it or movie it to a more suitable area of the community. If it doesn't meet the criteria in any way then it is deleted. Hope that helps clarify.

I bet you guys must get like loads of spammers trying to post stuff on here. Probably some people with swearing and stuff too after reading some of the more controversial posts.

I would love to know what goes on behind the scenes in a place like this. The moderation we don't see and those trying to say whatever must be a blast of entertainment for the administrators..

There is also a lot of things that Guests try to submit that simply do not get posted here. For instance: blatant spam, little or no content worth posting and simply off topic. Some Guests also have a tendency to attack the Poster rather than the Topic, we delete those without a thought about it.
