This looks like a promising movie. I saw the intro where they tried to follow the Matrix slow motion effect. What are the hopefulls for it? Do you plan to see it?

I love to watch Jet Li movies. The One was incredible. Although I might have to wait until this one comes out on video, I will certainly watch it then.

Hero opened at the #1 spot in the US raking in $18 million. I dont know if this meant that there werent many good movies out at the time, because this is fairly moderate for a #1 opener. From it's previews I think this is a movie worth seeing on the big screen, but with my schedule I probably wont be able too.

Just saw it - Excellent film, and it is shown in a way that will keep you interested to see the next scene. What you think is.. is not and it has lots of mystery within. The scenes and 'Matrix' effects were great and the acting top class. Congrats to the directors.

If you have not seen the film then do not read this.

I wish to analyze some parts of the film. First of all Master Nameless (Jet Li) seems to be on a mission to kill the Emperor, but is it that he is really looking for peace? I was trying to understand the real theme of the movie... was it the power of love? Peace and war? Peace and Death? If Sky and Moon remained alive then does this mean that there is a part 2 to come?

I also wondered if the Emperor kept his word? Did he make peace? We are left to believe he did not after executing Master Nameless.

Now concerning the director's version of Nameless telling various versions of the story, was that for the sake of thrills and suspense or was it to build up the unknown characters not connected with Nameless. It is odd how in each lie one of the Masters dies, and for truth both of them die.

By the way, the music is great.

I did not see the movie but a couple of teachers at school who saw it said it was terrible! they even said people were complaining about having to paid to watch such a dumbie movie.

Please... and they call themselves teachers? There is so much rooted in the film that you almost feel like you are reading a novel. Maybe they watched too many Matrix films and was looking for something to psycho analyze or possibly they were the typical Trinidadians that could not think deeper than what they would buy to eat for lunch?
