The Big Hit
What is your review for the movie called, 'The Big Hit' starring Mark Wahlberg and Lou Diamond Phillips?
I absolutely loved this movie! This was one of the movies, alone with 'Fear', that really showed how good an actor Mark Wahlberg is. This movie has one of my all time favorite shoot out scenes in a movie. Mark Wahlbergs character takes advantage of the lights in a room getting killed. He throws a flash grenade and goes to work! He spins around and uses the flashes to aim, fire, and kill the bad guys in the room! Its a great scene that is in my all time favorites list along with the ending scene of scarface and the shoot out in Ronin.
The fighting is like the Matrix save for not many slow down scenes. The comedy was raw and brutal to say the least, the acting was okay, but the storyline was terrible! This show is an action comedy with no real purpose - NOT recommended. Konqererz, we definitely are on both ends of the spectrum on some of these movies.
Melvin Smiley, a successful young hitman, is living a normal all-day life for his jewish fiance Pam, but kills for money in Paris" organization. In addition, he has a relationship with a beauty from the neighbourhood and gets bothered by a pimply video store guy, because he did not return "King Kong Lives" for two weeks. He and his three teammates Cisco, Crunch and Vince one day decide to kidnap the daughter of super-rich businessman Jiro Nishi - off the record. What they do not know, is that Jiro just went completely bankrupt due to a successless movie production, and, even worse, that his daughter Keiko is the god-daughter of Paris, the boss of the kidnappers.
