"The time has come for us to stand a little taller, to lift our eyes and stretch our minds to a greater comprehension and understanding of the grand millennial mission of this The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is a season to be strong. It is a time to move forward without hesitation, knowing well the meaning, the breadth, and the importance of our mission. It is a time to do what is right regardless of the consequences that might follow. We have nothing to fear. God is at the helm. He will overrule for the good of the work."
(Gordon B. Hinckley, "Stand a Little Taller," 2)
Discussion: What does it mean for you to 'Stand A Little Taller'?
It means lots of things to me, but one in particular: to stand a little taller means to get serious once and for all, to take responsibility of this Gospel we have embraced and the covenants we have made with God. A person that stands a little taller doesn't seem the 'trees' anymore in front of him, but the whole forest behind.

"Let us counsel with the Lord in all our undertakings. Let us be better neighbors. Let us be better employers and employees. Let us be men and women of integrity and honesty in business, in education, in government, in the professions, whatever is our place in life."
( Gordon B. Hinckley, "Latter-day Saints in Very Deed," Ensign, Nov. 1997, 85)
"Spirituality through prayer and study. Service to others. Generous tithes and offerings. These are not new principles. These are some of the 'small things' that are prerequisites to that which is great. . . . It is our hearts and our minds that must be made new. We each have our failings, our weaknesses, our less-than-perfect attitudes. The Lord asks us to open ourselves to Him, holding nothing back. . . . The newness of heart comes when we do and give all we can, then offer our heart and will to the Father. As we do this, our Father promises us that our lives now and in eternity will be abundant. We need not fear."
(Sister Kathleen H. Hughes, "Out of Small Things," Ensign, November 2004, 111)
