The party exits the west gate, leaving the safety of Kam behind. Just minutes later Kam is out of view and the scenery changes. Light vegetation (bushes/weeds) control the area just outside the well established dirt path your traveling on,
About two more hours of travel and the scenery is more densely populated with trees. You can tell this the edge of the forest. Up ahead the trees seem to suddenly swallow up the path along with the sunlight.
The halfling tells you the nest he and his dogs found is an hour or so further down the path.
Current Time: 8:30 AM (sun sets at 7pm) approximately.
Avan follows the halfling for a further half hour. When he knows they are getting close he gets the party get into formation.
In a harsh whisper Avan suggests one party member to be up front a short distance and to run back as soon as he is attacked. The other members lie in wait and flank the centipedes when they get close.
Avan cant be first, since he is dragging the cart, so he suggests that Felipe should lead, since he's an able bodied fighter.
Once the group gets in order, Avan drops into his skirmishing stance and looks out.

After a half hour you drop into formation. The halfling looks confused and explains once they travel one more half hour they will need to travel threw the woods for about another half hour before reaching the nest.
The boy laughs asking you, "You didn't think the nest was just a few steps off the path did you? We need to travel threw the woods for a bit to get there."
Kamdrogh. A name long buried in one of the far recesses of his mind. A mere idea, a concept so far in time and space to become unimportant in the eyes of the self-centered guy he used to be. At that time, he was still craving for fame in the ranks of the "Fabulous Circus of Wonders", a company of jesters, acrobats and other various performers that managed in time to get itself a name in his native land, the far Yowok. Matteo Nicholas was not even his name, at least not for the many. His mother, a timid housewife, and his father, a stubborn and rough well set merchant and trader, were still calling him like that but for the public he was Quasar. Quasar the wonder-kid, capable of bending iron bars and making flowers sprout out of flying daggers.
That's when he first heard about Kamdrogh: sharing a pint of strong ale with some traveling merchants from a far away land. Their description was full of charm and inspired more than one dream in his young mind.
But just like a dream, the memory of those tales faded away fast, long before his father decided to lock his "Good-to-nothing" son in a monastery: "At least they will wash away from your clothes that filthy smell of non-humans", he said. Only the insistent preaches of the archbishop and his mom's tears could move his father from his resolution and bring him to accept the magic academy as a more adequate solution for his somewhat unconventional and reckless son. And that's where he stayed, until that fatal day, until the name of Kamdrogh emerged from his memory as the only place where he could run from his destiny.
Lost in his thoughts, Matteo cast a distressed gaze at his surroundings. That forest, so different from the tropical jungle typical of his land, seemed endless. But worse than all gave little chances of orientation to an outlander like him. No clues on where the big city lied or which direction should be followed...
Quasar thinks he can see a wagon and a few people up ahead on the path.

"Are you all expecting someone?"
