Congrats!

Our new Member, Moderator and Single of the Month has been voted in! You can see the first two via the Honor Club and the Single of the Month via the Singles section. Thank you for your continued participation.

We are currently working on the daughter forum - Foro Internacional Argentino - located at: https://www.foro.bordeglobal.net and our most recent expansions are in the English board so that English only speakers can feel right at home. Remember that you can click on the British flag and the whole forum will turn the icons and main text into English for your enjoyment. Have fun!

Did you enjoy read what your fellow member wrote? Then please think about giving him or her a Charisma point - you might just make someone happy today.

Chat Room Temporarily Closed

The chat room is closed until we can find dedicated mods/members to run it. There have been many times when I entered the chat room only to find users abusing it.

My Goals!

This script is the newest addition for Premium Plus Members, BUT, anyone can view it. Now, this is not just another script, it is actually something I have wanted for a long time to facilitate the mental state when you announce a goal publicly. What do I mean? Well, when you let everyone know what your goals are then you are more likely to keep them wink.gif Some of the features include the ability add a description, create updates, show a percentage bar of how you are doing, delete the goal and so on. Have fun - I know I will!

To see the My Goals page go to:

Minor Updates

Moved Computer Category near to the top as this important yet neglected section needs more eyes falling upon it.

In the Who's online pages as well as the Honor Club you can see who is the latest winner for the Raffle. Remember that the Raffle draws automatically each week so you have a chance to buy your tickets with your FP.

Request

We have narrowed the unanswered messages (those with no replies) down to 3 pages. Some of them have been started by me, so if you could visit and answer some of them that will be great.

Critical Flaws in IE

First of all why do you use Internet Explorer? It is so buggy and full of security holes. Recently members were complaining that when they visited the Medieval section they would get a serious memory problem. I could not see this on Netscape and had to open the latest version of IE (with patches and all). After some research and experimenting I realized that the problem is IE - it has a critical flaw. When onError script is called it makes an eternal loop. IE has been informed of the problem since version 4! Have they done anything about it - NO!

Medieval users and others who would like to view this section can now do so in peace as I removed the code that caused the activation of the bug in IE. rolleyes.gif

Basic example of the flaw:

What this does:
1) It creates an image with an invalid src
2) IE tries to show the picture but can't: it fires the
onError-event
3) The onError-event resets the src attribute to the same
invalid src.
4) goto 2
