Toronto Raptors

2006 was the first year for Toronto without superstar Vince Carter, and their record showed his absence was crucial. They finished the year a dismal 27-55 and were it not for the poor play of the New York Knicks, they would have had the worst record in the Atlantic Division. One of the biggest problems is lack of leadership with the absence of Carter. The most senior member of the team is Antonio Davis, but he has never been a leader, and this year proved no different. The Raptors are also the only NBA team left in Canada.

The Raptors weren't great with Carter. Now they don't have him, they are worthless. Raptors upper management has allowed talent to slip away and failed to replace it, that is why the Raptors will continue in a downward spiral until they are one of the worst teams in the NBA. Just my opinion, but I suppose time will tell.

Remember when the Raptors had both Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady? I bet the fans are wondering how they let 2 superstars like that leave the team. Yes the Raptors weren't great with Vince Carter, but they weren't mediocre either.
