I can't believe they found her! What a horrible way to die and be cast off -- by her own husband... At least her family can put her to rest now, and have some measure "closure" to this whole mess.

Mark Hacking today pled not guilty to charges of murder. What is even worse is that now the prosecutor will not be seeking the death penalty because he cannot prove that Lori was pregnant. Since in Utah, you have to be proven of multiple murders to get the death penalty, this will be impossible to get. I cannot believe this cowardly move by Mark Hacking after his wife's body was found, and he confessed it earlier before. I hope this case doesnt drag on like the Peterson case.

Oh my gosh, I thought at least he would have the decency of plead guilty IF he really repented of what he has done. I'm extremely dissapointed, unless there is more information that we are not aware of. I can imagine the pain that Lori's mom have to go through once again....

Pleading "not guilty" is a cowardly ploy. What do they expect to gain from this, his defense lawyers? Why do they need a trial? Didn't the man confess to his own brother? Oy veh, another long drawn-out trial for murder, more of this mess in the news. I'm so tired of it.

They've already gotten him off the death penalty, for the most part. Now the defense lawyers are looking at how they can get him off scotch-free. By pleading not guilty the burden is on the prosecution to convince the jury with evidence; evidence right now that is very hard to come by or produce. Just another sleasy lawyer-driven case!

For what I read, Mark Hacking is writing a book about the 'whole' truth, it seems to me that there is more information that the Press have about this case. It seems also that Mark expects through the trial to unveiled certain mysteries concerning the murder. His own brother is going to testify against him also.
