Yes, that's a good idea. Actually I was thinking about that yesterday when I was updating my profile to change my mood, I think most members just forget to change it so they just leave it alone but I think it is a way to know how a person feels and why they post the way they do.
I solemnly admit that I never think about changing it. I don't think it's as fitting now as it was when I first joined. I had originally set it on quiet because that's how I tend to be when I'm in a new situation. I would probably be more likely to change it if there was something on the boards that dealt with the mood.
I by no means look at everyone's mood, nor do I change mine every time that I log on. If there were more dealing with moods I would definitely be more apt to remember to change it more often. I do notice that JB is quite often optimistic though. I'm not sure what all can be done to more involve the moods we each choose in our posts but if a mood stamp was put actually on the post when it is done to see the person's mood at the time of posting rather than just current in the profile it might make things a little more interesting. I do like the idea of having moods on here though, I can see how everyone is feeling while I read around.
Sometimes the mood in which I write one post is different than the mood for the next post. For instance, I may be quite passionate about the single adult program, but I'm irritated with the argument on an international post, while I may feel rather silly when I'm posting a joke. It would be kind of fun to "stamp" my mood on the post
Stamping your mood on posts... quite interesting, I will have to consider it and see what I can do to code it in the near future. I will also look at emphasizing current mood too as it seems to be drowned out by everything else. Thanks for the tips.
As promised I have emphasized the 'mood' text in all Skins that show it. You will notice it is bold and in color. With regards to the mood stamp on each post: I think is a bit much after consideration. I believe a user can post and incorporate how they feel within their writing rather than a drop down menu doing it for them.
