I switched to diet sodas a few years ago. I guess my favorite would be Diet Coke or Pepsi. I can tell the difference but I don't prefer one over the other. Recently I tried Diet Coke with Lime, very good. I actually mixed it half and half with regular Coke and I have found a new favorite.

A very common question, though it never fails to amuse me. biggrin.gif
I know it right off the bat, no need to think about it. It is definately Pepsi Blue. It was taken off the market here (I am sure of it!), but I have still searched for it everywhere I go. Perhaps I'm being ridiculous, but you do crazy things for the ones you love.

QUOTE
Before I broke the caffeine addiction, I loved Coca Cola (Vanilla Coke, Classic Coke, Cherry Coke, etc, etc, etc.). I still like the flavor.

Yes, Nighthawk, I understand where you are coming from. I love the flavor of those too, but I still haven't had any caffeinated pop yet.

Roz, I really like fruity soda's, too. I would have to say my favorite is the Hansen soda's. They are fruity and come in different flavors. My favorite would have to be mandarin/lime. I don't mean to sound like a commercial, but Hansen's are made with 100 percent natural flavors, no preservatives, no sodium, and no caffeine. Hansen's Diet Sodas are also aspartame free. They have diet black cherry, diet tangerine, mandarin lime, cherry vanilla creme, grapefruit and raspberry flavors.

The other soda I really like I had when I was a kid. It was some brand of red pop. I have tried so many different kinds of red pop, cut I can't seem to find one that tastes the same. Maybe my taste buds have changed.

My favorites are carbonated orange juice and apple juice. Those are the best. smile.gif I also like Pepsi. Coke as well but not as much as the others. I think it's too commercial and tastes great only for the first sip. But obviously, that's just me.

Great topic!

I would have to say my favorite is root beer, we can only get it in a couple of places here, so have to settle for what we can get. The couple of times I have visited the US, the mug root beer is far superior to any British one!

McDonalds used to sell root beer in the 80's here, but sadly stopped, because the taste didn't catch on.

My second favorite would be Fanta lemon, very refreshing!

My favorite is Cherry Coke, but too much Cherry Coke with all that sugar and caffeine is definitely too much of a good thing!

My favorite soda would have to be Big Red. I am not sure how marketed it is around the world but it is red in color obviously and has a taste similar to bubble gum in a way I guess. It is not very hard to find in my area now but a few years ago I lived only 2 hours from where I do now and couldn't find it to save my life.

Big Red is often referred to as concrete cleaner. The story behind that is it is very acidic, much more so than Coke or Pepsi. If you have an oil stain in your garage or driveway you can actually pour Big Red on it and it will literally eat the oil out removing the stain. It does leave a slight pink tint to the cement but it will usually fade out within about two weeks. I am sure this does not do anything good to my internal organs but it is a great drink and I highly recommend trying it at the least once.
