I would absolutely love to hear about how addicted LDS is. It might help me feel less abnormal. laugh.gif

Hmmmm... where do I start in this long list? laugh.gif

1. Manages FP like real money

2. Is determined to be Arcade Champion even if it means playing the same game over and over until she has the high score

3. Talks about topics and people on the forum as though they are our next door neighbors (I am guilty of this sometimes - well after all I do see your names everyday).

4. During contests she does not eat or drink unless absolutely on the version of starvation or dehydration in order to win. She does not leave her computer desk either.

5. Researches several web sites just to have an answer for one mysterious topic

I will stop there for now...

Oh, please do tell about LDS, JB! laugh.gif I haven't even been here a week, and like the others have said, it is easy to get addicted here! Not being very savvy about computers, it has taken me a while to get around in here. I already respect, admire, and appreciate many of the people here, if their posts are any indication into what kind of people they are. I am a mother of 3 and a wife, so you'd think I have better things to do. laugh.gif Maybe I should hold back in the number of posts I've made and on some of the topics I have posted on. I guess I opened up pretty fast. I hope you all don't think I'm some crazy person or something like that for some of the things I said.

It is very addicting, and it is purposely meant to be that way. wink.gif It has come a long way and contains numerous hours of work. The foundation of it lies within the content of the messages in each thread. We do not think you are crazy, as there really isn't anything such as 'posting too fast' or 'too little' so long as you post constructively and within the rules.

Well, you did a great job on making it addictive! I cant go one day with out being here. I couldn't pick the "feels bad if don't log on for 24 hours" because I don't know what thats like since I joined! And the arcade has got me! I'm sitting here trying to figure my budget to determine if I can become a premium member sooner so I can get the FP bonus for signing up and play more arcade games! AAAAAA! But seriously, where else can you have real, mature discussions with other adults......then go swap threats about arcade dominance with the same people! This place is great, and the only place I will have ever paid to get more stuff on a website, and since I'm a surf monkey, thats a great compliment!

You crack me up, konquererz! I hear you, though. The longest I have been off the forum since I joined is like maybe 12 hours while I was sleeping then taking care of children, husband, house, etc. I at least log on for a minute, long enough to check out what the latest movement on hot topics is whether I can stay or not (which I can almost always stay wink.gif ). This was also the first place I have ever donated to because I liked the site so much, and to upgrade. Worth every penny! wink.gif

I just read this laugh.gif. This is so true! I never thought it that way. I think the reason for it is that people who we have mature discussions with are people who do not believe are "above" anyone else or they think their intellectual capacity is way too high...but normal individuals that are willing to learn from each other.

I was thinking today in these questions while I was doing dishes: Based on your grade of "Addiction" to the forum:

How many people of your family and friends know about this site? If they know about it, do you discuss the issues we talked about here with them? Do they know the usernames of the members of the community?

Very true and that makes it quite unique as it keeps the level of maturity equal in all areas as many people think they cannot be mature if they play an Arcade game while having serious discussion. Actually, I believe we have a similar statement on one of our ads saying that you will not find a place where you can battle a member and then have constructive discussion with them. Hence most online Communities are geared to facilitate one aspect only - games or discussion.
