Comments: I could never be Muslim because there are too many radical ideas in the religion and even if you were to find more peaceful groups you want a religion that does not have so many contrasting ideas of what is right and wrong, that is why I am not Muslim.

Muslim Not I Why

I respect this religion as any other one, but adopting one set of beliefs will separate me from the others and limit some exploration of other ideas, in this case for example reincarnation.

Why I Am Not Muslim

I was a muslim. The reason I left is something I guess people would scoff at. Islam just never 'clicked' with me, even though it was the religion I was raised in since childhood. Now, when I decided to renounce my faith, I admit I was probably too rash. That decision was quite the leap of faith on my part. The other reason I left is because I have this strange fear when I read the Quran. Some ayats did shake me as they triggered some of the values I believe. I knew that I shouldn't have taken what the Quran says as it is, since there's the asbabun nuzul or the cause why each ayat was given by Allah, but I still feared the possibility that what I want to believe contradicts what my religion wants me to believe. Hence, I renounced my faith. To muslims who can find it in themselves to truly believe in Allah, I am happy for you.
