The Best Exercise - Page 4

Exercise? Why me? That would be sitting, but in all seriousness I think walking is the best exercise. We were designed to walk and any amount or type of walking is good. The main problem is that most people do not like the amount of time it takes, they want something fast. Walking is low impact but once done you're body isl stimulated.

I agree that walking is good, but I thought that people needed to do exercise at a higher pace to help increase lung capacity and strengthen the heart?

I think that many people underestimate walking and think that it's useless because it's so easy. This is not true. Walking does help blood pressure and circulation and it is low impact.

To add intensity you simply walk up a hill, walk faster or walk with a backpack of weight. That is the nice thing abut walking, you can control the intensity in a flash, you are outside breathing fresh air not stink gym air of sweat.

Page 4 Exercise The

Increasing the lung capacity does not take as much as people think so much as learning how to breath. You learn to breath and two things happen you heart rate and blood pressure drop as well. Yoga is a good example of this or even tai chi. Martial arts as another. At the start martial arts often are not very intense in movement but they teach you to focus mind and body.

Yes one of the best exercises a person can do is get outside and take a nice long walk. It does the body good. The more you walk the better shape you can get into. You do not always need a high impact exercise routine to stay in the best shape. Granted it will help you build muscle and endurance quicker than walking alone. There is a use for everything. If you want to get in shape without trying hard just go for a walk. If you have a friend take a walk together. It is surprising the amount of exercise you can get while chatting with a friend.

The Best Exercise

I love lifting weights and it is my favorite but it aint for everyone. If I have to chose something that is the best for everyone then I think walking is the best. Not just casual though needs to be brisk to have any kind of real value.
