Brand new to the site, and eager to dig in to some fantastic role play.
I am very impressed with this sites presentation and organization in comparison to other representatives out there.
I too a good look around before deciding what waters to wade into, and this site won hands down.
So Kudo's, or is it Cooties, eh one of those anyway, to all you awesome mediators and magicians...
I have a great deal of old school role play experience, but much less in the last decade or so.
I have missed it greatly however and had the unquenchable urge to seek it out again.
I have some limited play by post experience, most of what I have had opportunity to enjoy has been table top, in both pc and dm/story telling aspects. I am a quick study regardless so not much a concern there.
I lean heavily on the role play and writing aspects, and less so on my familiarity with the legalism and dogma of the rules.
I truly enjoy taking great pains on character development and my role play, particularly in awritten play by post environment. There is nothing like a great troupe of players and a stellar storyteller that can bring a campaign to life.
I take my commitment to a group quite seriously, and make every effort to be an active and substantive contributor to the story.
I have experience with the following, and probably have forgotten some; Dungeons & Dragons - started at 11yrs old I think ( all but 4.0), Star Frontier, Lords of Creation, Vampire The Masquerade ( and most WOD), EarthDawn, Rift, RoleMaster, MERP, Paranoia, Call of Cthulu, Champions, DC Heroes, ShadowRun, Fantasy Craft, G.U.R.P.S ( my troupe actually had the honor of being the first to play testing and contribute to Steve Jackson's Arabian Nights setting - lots of fun ) , Ok I give up, starting to smell smoke with the exertion of remembering...
I prefer the fantasy genre for the most part, though I have a special attraction to the World of Darkness as well.
I am an aspiring author of fantasy/sci-fi and am always looking to hone and expand the imagination and my writing skills.
Looking forward to getting my feet wet with a great story, and to encountering all of you 'imagineers' in the infinite worlds that await us.
Feel free to hit me up with any opportunity you may have waiting in the wings, while I patiently look for an opening in the adverts.
Veritas - Aequitas - See you on the boards...
Sincerely, Will

Hi ShadowLord! That's quite an introduction and I'm glad the site appealed to you so much. Horde gave you all the necessary information to get started but if you have questions about the site's features or you're unsure about something you can ask here.
You uploaded an image to the gallery but that is really for 'real' photos. You can choose one of the in house avatars as your personal avatar and most of the role-playing games have avatars that you can use. You may want to ensure you look up the site's Constructive Posting Policy so you know what is allowed / not allowed in posts.
Enjoy your time here.
Thank you for the welcome. I have certainly GM'd my fair share of games over the years, and I would definitely consider doing so here at some point. Being new and unfamiliar with the general feel, navigation, tools, etc.., would prevent me from jumping in on that just yet. I am in school full time as well right now as well, so I don't quite have the time to commit to GMing.
I am looking for a solid fantasy game to join, in 3.5 Dungeons & Dragons or another familiar game system. I have to accumulate my 30 posts before joining a game, but I will be looking for something that catches my eye.
If you suggestions, I am open to hearing what you might recommend.
Thanks FairMaiden!
