I have tried this drink a couple of times in the past, as one-offs, when I've had to stay awake for more hours than I would normally do.
It does make you feel a bit more awake, but the effects afterwards when it has 'worn off' it really makes you feel 'gunky'.
I stay well clear of any caffeine/energy induced drink like this these days!
A few months ago I did try a Red Bull, because I had a meeting to go to late in the evening and I was really tired. I drank less than half, and let me tell you it perked me right up! It's a good thing I didn't drink any more than that, because the "let down" after it wore off was very obvious.
While it did help me to be alert during my meeting, it was an artificial "high" and I won't be doing it again.
I think its so funny that everyone has talked about how unhealthy red bull is while telling us they rather drink soda or coffee. Thats silly, you are all drinking horrible horrible liquids stuffed with sugar and caffeine that give you artificial highs and really bad lows. You get it with soda, especially Mountain Dew, but most people get used to it. Drinking water with a vitamin is the best and only use caffeine when you have to, it is more effective!
I have not tried Red Bull and I doubt I ever will unless someone offers me it at their cost. Now, one thing I wonder about is their ads, it seems to be a bit over the edge with naked couples and a guy unbuckling to get vengeance a bird that pooped on him... what do you think?
Maybe Red Bull can use this for a new slogan?

How about:
* Red Bull...it is heart-stoppingly good.
* 8 Red Bull's is all you will ever need.
The thing that gets me is that he chugged 8 of these things before the race. Like why did he chose 8? This tells me that he probably tried 6 or 7 before and this was a ritual of sorts. "Yeah...I had 6 last time and my heart felt like it was about to jump out of my body but I won. This race is pretty important...get 8 of them...who needs a heart anyway." There is no way this is your first time trying this stuff and you stupidly guzzle 8 of the caffiene bombs.
I know I have said it before but people need to wake up and get on the government to place some type of regulation on these type of drinks. They are very bad for you. The USDA needs to get these companies from putting so much harmful stuff in energy drinks. Red Bull has cocaine in it. Why does that not surprise me.
Actually, Coca Cola used to have cocaine as a ingredient.

Wikipedia When launched Coca-Cola's two key ingredients were cocaine (benzoylmethyl ecgonine) and caffeine. The cocaine was derived from the coca leaf and the caffeine from kola nut, leading to the name Coca-Cola (the "K" in Kola was replaced with a "C" for marketing purposes) |
