Bill Clinton & Mormons
Clinton told a group of reporters Tuesday night that he attended "Recruiting presentations" held by young missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints, to which GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney belongs, while growing up in Hot Springs, Ark. According to Politico, Clinton spoke highly of the Mormon religion, saying that he "Admires the church for its high ethical standards and belief in a celestial kingdom." Ref. Source 4
Bill Clinton & Mormons (Hover)
Mormons are subject to the same temptations and foibles as anyone else. However, it is true that if Clinton had joined the Church and was active and believing to a high degree, it's likely he would not have had the Monica incident. Likely he would not have become or remained a Democrat as to be such puts one into direct opposition to various critical doctrines.
Since many church leaders including the late Pres. Faust were democrats I doubt his political persuasion would be a factor. In office power can corrupt. Even Mitt will have his temptations to deal with should he win. I do agree that maybe Bill would have been less likely to commit the folly.
