It's really hard to give only one song for favorite lyrics as it might change depending on my mood, but here's one that I've loved for years for it's poetry and subtle beauty. It's from a song called "Church in the Field" by Bruce Carroll

I have so many favourite songs its hard to pick just one, Tori Amos always gets me through hard times and this particular lyric always struck a chord with me.

I don't believe your leaving coz me and Charles manson like the same Ice cream

that to me completely describes the feeling you go through when someone breaks your heart for no good reason, On a more happy note it's one of her other songs I want played at my funeral it goes.

If I die today I'll be the happy phantom, and I'll go chasing the nuns out in the yard and I'll run naked in the street without my mask on and I will never need umbrellas in the rain, I'll wake up in strawberry fields everyday!
