I have a blog already and, talking about it, is long time I don't post anything there. I will update it later if I have time. I have a top class restaurant which offers Italian and international menus. Keeping it busy is a difficult task because my range of potential customers (higher class) is not so wide and they are already spoiled by the many offers they have in town.

This is a difficult Country, JB. The mentality is completely different. Sometimes I feel like they are somewhat aliens. What works in our countries is useless here. Is not only about their being Asians. That adds to the problem but is only one of the factors. They have a very peculiar way of living their lives. I will probably go into details in my blog one day.

I used to have a website but it was shut down after I had a quite harsh fight (not physical) with the guy responsible of my marketing and promotion strategies. I'm currently preparing a new website but, after a golden December and good January, this February is a nightmare and my resources are currently quite dry....

As an example only: I have two Blogs: One I use in the private section to detail my life which covers more personal issues and the public one which talks more about my work. So if you ever need one for something different I am just letting you know there is always the option for you.

You sound frustrated with Indonesia, I assume you're there mostly because of your wife.

My wife could live in your restaurant, she loves Italian and Mexican. Possibly a free tip or maybe something you've already done: you can cater for hotel guests by making deals with the hospitality industry to offer deals / packages so that you bring in the foreigners. This can be done with travel agents as well. I wish you well with your business.

Bruconero so you're like the head chef or just manage the place? Where do you get the time to Dungeons & Dragons with all that?

I'm not the head chef and I don't manage the place. I own it. But sometimes I become the chef (I love cooking) and sometimes I become the manager (only in case of need).
I find the time because I'm not busy every single minute of my day: sometimes I tell the people what to do and just have to wait for it to be done. If is something important, I will watch them and check it over. If not, I will just post or sit with some customer and open a bottle of beer (I don't sell wine. Muslims here don't care about beer but wine and other alcoholic drinks are dangerous, just like selling pork).
Sometimes, I can just sit and browse or post with my phone, and now with the laptop, while keeping an eye on what's going on. Or I go out to make deals or visiting the suppliers and so on.

By the way, thank you JB for your suggestions. That's something I'm already doing but here the situation is very peculiar and what's seem normal in our world is an oddity in this upside down Country. But don't get me wrong: I don't hate Indonesia. I like living here, is the biggest challenge in my life. I already got some successes (ups and downs but I'm still running my business while most of the foreigners go back home to lick their wounds after 2 or 3 years).
I'm stubborn and I will finally find the way.
