Gosh, so much shopping to do, I will just have to make the sacrifice When do you start getting ready for Christmas? August? September? Do you wait til the week before?
I generally start shopping as soon as I get my Christmas Club check. I think that is towards the end of October. I try to get my shopping and wrapping done early. As much before Thanksgiving as possible. For non-US citizens, that means before the end of November. Of course, that also means I miss most sales, but my time is worth something, and I hate to stand in those long lines in December waiting to pay.
hehehehe....i unfortunately am a HUGE procrastinator. so i of course wait til about 2-3 days before Christmas to go shopping. though last last year i actually did most of my shopping almost a full WEEK before Christmas...good improvement eh?
though my mom is much better at not procrastinating and i believe is done by the first week in December. GO MOM!
I hate to admit this but I usually do all my shopping on Dec. 24th. I always have too. I love the crowds and the hussle and bussle. I find it exciting to shop at the last minute.
We have a Christmas tradition to gather and party together on Christmas day. Everyone in the family joins in plus close cousins and friends. We have a raffle on which family we are going to give to every Christmas and we will probably know it by Thanksgiving. As soon as we know who's who and we got their Christmas list then we will start Christmas shopping.

I try to get most of my shopping done as soon as possible between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't stand the crowds!! I've had way too many Christmas shoppers show an UN-Christmas-like attitude... Sometimes I find a gift for someone before that time, but rarely. I'm not a big fan of shopping, anyway ...

I shop all year round. If I see something I know someone will like on sale, I snag it and keep it in my "Christmas Closet" or in another secret place where no one will find it. Eventually, during christmas time, there is little shopping to do. Leaving me very relieved during the hectic season.
