Play Station 2

How do you rate the PS2 Console. Take into consideration, cost, durability, ease of use, variety of games, etc.

Station Play

Ah the best system around. The controllers are simple and durable, the cost is fair and the list of games is nearly endless. The cost of the games is the same as with any console. I had traded in my PS2 for an XBOX and now, after going through 2 XBOXs, I plan on getting another PS2.

Play Station 2 Gaming Video & Issues Computer

Definitely the best all rounder. In it’s own right the PS2 is a great gaming system. It’s showing it’s age now compared to the Xbox, but beats that in other ways. For one thing the PS2 has a much larger games catalogue than the other consoles, and despite it’s age still has exclusive and highly anticipated games coming out.

It also has good functionality, being able to play most original PSOne games, audio CDs and DVDs – right out of the box, without having to pay an extra fee to “unlock” the DVD feature of the system.

Peripherals such as a 40GB hard drive and an Ethernet adapter are also available to allow internal game storage and online connectivity. Having to buy them separately (and thus pay for them) is a pain, especially since they come as standard in the Xbox, though to it’s credit, the PS2’s hard drive is much bigger than the Xbox’s 8GB unit.

It’s not without it’s flaws though. If purchased, the DVD remote is awkward to use, the buttons are too small. I also feel that it should have four controller ports on the front of the system, as the Xbox and GC do. You can still use up to 4 controllers with a multi-tap but this is a hassle. And given it’s advancing age, certain games have lengthy loading times compared to the other consoles.

Given that it can do more than the GameCube, and at least measures up to the Xbox when you compare the pros and cons of the two, I’d definitely choose the PS2.

Station Play

I've played only PS1 and PS2 (oh, and gameboy), but I still think that PS2 is the best of all consoles. That's why I bought it. Only a year ago I had solely a computer. I'm not that a game-freak, taking time out of my homework and other chores to play games, but when I have time, I like to relax and play some. Well, the most games I found available on PS2, and that's why I bought it.

Station Play

As a hardcore gamer, I believe that PS2 is the best, of course nothing can compare to final fantasy 7.. The others just havn't been able to touch it..but anyway. I believe the PS2 is the best system, of course I havn't played x box yet, so I can say it is, but I play alot of computer, I wish the game prices weren't quite so expensive, but hey what can you do?

I think that PS2 is by far the best. Perhaps XBox graphics are a MINUTE bit better, but nothing noticeable. Also, PS2 has TONS more games than XBox. Another nice thing is, that if a game isn't out for PS2, 9 times out of 10 its out for computer, but for XBox its not necissarily true.

PS2 prices are also good. I remember when i had a a N64 *sigh, good times, good times.* And the games were usually around 50$ apiece! But PS2 prices are around 30$, much better.

All around, I would definately say that PS2's are by far the best.

Playstation 2 is definitely the best system! Although I do more gaming with my computer then Playstation 2 really.... But PS2 is definitely the best! You have got to love it!

Play Station 2 Computer Issues & Video Gaming

As an owner of both X-Box and PS2, I must say that I prefer PS2. It certainly does not have or use the power that the X-Box does, nor does it have Halo, but it has more than enough great games to allow it to hold it's own. PS2's strength lies in the sheer variety of games. Whatever you're into, there's bound to be at least 3 good games for you. It is definetely the best system.
