Yahtzee

Yahtzee is a dice game where the object is to get certain combinations and complete a list to gain the maximum number of points. Examples of combinations are a Straight, 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind and Full House. A Yahtzee is when all 5 dice are the same and is worth 50 points. Have you played Yahtzee? I personally am addicted to it; I even have the handheld game so I can play on the road!

Yahtzee

My family loves Yahtzee smile.gif Even my 6-year-old can play it, and mostly is able to add up her own score from the dice (except for the final columns, that's a bit beyond her yet). We play often, and have a lot of fun, too.

Yahtzee Reviews RPG & Card Board

I used to play this lots as a kid. I went camping for a few days recently, and we played Yahtzee in the Camper just before going to sleep and also in the mornings while it was raining. It rained each morning, but cleared up by around 10:00 a.m. Yahtzee kept us occupied.

Yahtzee

I remember playing this game in the summer during family reunions. Someone would bring out the game and we would spend entire weekends playing. There seemed to be a non-stop game going on. I loved playing and was thrilled when a handheld version of the game came out. I did play that a bit, but somehow it wasn't the same. I think I missed things like my uncle cursing when he couldn't get a Yahtzee or one of my aunts who would become increasingly er um unsober. wink.gif It was more the camaraderie with my relatives than the actual game playing. Sigh, I miss those times. smile.gif

I love Yahtzee. It is one of those games that can be played anytime, anyplace. I could easily spend hours playing that game. I had a great little free version on my computer, unfortunately, I lost it. I need to find again, it's very addictive.

Along the same lines and rules of Yahtzee is an offshoot called Kizmet. Have you guys played that one? It is a lot of fun. The dice have colored sides so it introduces the concept of a flush (same color dice), a straight same color, etc. Played this game over Thanksgiving with the in-laws and had a blast.

I haven't heard of Kizmet, but it sounds fun. How many colors are used? How difficult is the flush and straight flush?

Yahtzee Board Card & RPG Reviews

I have played yatzee with my family for years. Recently we added a free version of yatzee on to the computer. It is just as addicting because we compete for the high score on the computer. The one on the computer has choices of what type of game you want to play and one of the choices is colored dice. I enjoy it. I have never heard of kizmet but it sounds very similar.
