Enforcing Policy

How far do you think the Architect, Mods and Bots will go in order to enforce policy / rules on any member wether upgraded or not?

Policy Enforcing

I chose the first option, as I believe there is no favoritism here when it comes to the rules. I have been scolded in the past, and I have seen other moderators get reprimanded as well. I am a moderator with Platinum status, but I don't expect to be able to break or even bend rules because of that status. It is precisely this enforcement that makes this community what it is.

Enforcing Policy Feedback & FAQ News Community

I think everything is pretty equal here. Some would say that those whose views contradict most of the other members are censured more often, but most cases I've seen that could be construed in such a way involved posts that actually violated the rules.

However, I did not vote, because I do not see the enforcement as "the strictest fashion" toward anybody, nor do I see blatant favoritism. If this forum were to become a rigid dictatorship, I would not participate. Some leniency is necessary to allow for different styles of writing and varied opinions. The current level of enforcement seems reasonable.

I have been on the receiving end of a reprimand myself so I would say things are being enforced equally. If there is any appearance of favortism or leniency it is more likely that the veteran members are more familiar with the rules and what is acceptable and they choose to follow those guidelines.

Oh come on Mods, who reprimands you good people, surely not little old me? wink.gif I am glad everyone believes that all is treated equally, because that is how everyone should feel - no favorites - therefore no hurt feelings. By the way did I mention.

Offtopic but,
I love you all! No, really.

Yes, JB -- you, sir, have handed out a "reprimand" or two in my tenure here wink.gif But only because I deserved it, which shows that even the Mods are subject to the rules. I think the rules are generally enforced equally.

I agree with the first option. I don't catch much going by the staff here. tongue.gif
