I was just looking at the Member's List and thought... Man, my post count sure is high in all humility of course and then some . After thinking about that, I wondered if someone would ever catch up to me? To do so they would probably have to maintain a higher post count average than I do (See Statistics page), but after all, we are talking about posts since this Community started in 02! in all honesty, I would like to be dropped to the bottom of the list or realistically, maybe to fourth or fifth, but my question is... will it ever happen?

Now, I know some of you will say for me to stop posting to enable it to happen, but that is impossible, and we all know it. The question is not how to slow me down as much as how to get more people to speed up. Now, do not get me wrong, I am not up on post count, in fact I despise users that constantly use it as a measure of their maturity within the Community since I have deleted many here that had hundreds of posts for their lack of maturity. Nevertheless, the figures do speak words and right now it almost looks like I have over worked the place. Too bad it does not show ex-Member post counts.

I do see this happening one day but I do not believe that day will be any time soon. I would love to say that I will be the one to do it however with the almost 1000 post lead even if I held 2 posts per day lead over you it would take almost a year and a half for me to be in the same ball game as you. Not to say that I am not going to attempt to get there one day however, in a continuing effort to keep all of my posts as constructive as possible I am not going to try and over achieve at risk of flooding the boards with semi-useless posts. Maybe this time next year I can give a run at it.

I like to feel that I have gotten off to a good start my first few months within the community. I am up to nearly 450 posts. I am looking forward to breaking the 500 post mark and am quite excited about it. I have run into one issue that has slowed down my posting a little bit. I have noticed that I have gotten a little more casual in my posts recently and have noticed the ratio of total posts to chrisma has dropped a fair amount. I have really taken pride in the number of different members/mods that have taken the time to give me chrisma and want to do everything I can to continue in the direction that I started. Regretfully this has kept me from posting in some areas that I really did not feel I could be truly constructive.

However, if you are saying that you ability to make lots of posts is slowed by the amount of Charisma you get then I would not worry about it because generally Members do not give Charisma. You can easily see that by the number of posts I have and the Charisma I now have. Were it based on post count then I should have 400+ Charisma. Keep in mind too that Charisma cannot be given every day by the same person, but this is all offtopic. However, do not let that slow you down as the true way to know if a post is exciting to those who are able to reply is just that --> number of replies and views. Thus, you start up something exciting and then there will be lots of follow-up messages and lots of reasons to reply and thus your post count will go up. Now, let us not lose the focus here. The main reason I started this thread was to bring everyone's attention to the lop sided number of posts I have as compared to the older Members and everyone else. There should at least be a five people close to me based on what I have seen elsewhere, but I must admit, that it has to be a love. I can dish out posts like there is no tomorrow simply because I love it! So I am hard to beat.

Konquererz, I am pretty sure you could do it barring life's responsibilities as I have been pretty amazed with some of your blitz posting. You also bring up a good point about work… I think one of thing that makes it easier for me to do this is that Community maintenance is one of my responsibilities as it comes under the banner of my work too.

I have to honestly say that I don't see anyone catching up to JB, not even LDS_forever (No disrespect intended). I have to admit that at one time I did think I had a chance, but then of course, I slowed down tremendously, and now I don't believe I have a shot at all. However, it would be nice to see someone pass him, not because I don't like JB's posts, but because it would mean that the forum is very active, and that the activity has been constructive. That is the main goal of this forum after all; is to promote constructive thinking and posting, and lots of it.
