Zork will come just within the gate and setup camp. He will leave a couple of dogs just outside the gate and the rest with him til the morning if its pitch dark. If there is still some like he waits for Durgan and his woman to check around.
Durgan ties the horses to the bars of the gate, following the others inside. Sessativa lights a fire while it's still bright and goes with Durgan to have a look at the wall, and to judge the distances within.
Sessativa takes first watch, waking Durgan early to talk in hushed tones before he tells her to go to sleep to have energy for next morning. Durgan then wakes Zork with his report.
The walls are 20 feet high and ten feet thick. There is a squat tower at each of the four corners. The towers are accessed by a small doorway at the base of them. These four doors are the only apparent means of access to top of the wall. The courtyard inside the gate leads to the east side of the main towers The bottom floors are square with the two towers rising above. During the fading light you will see the only door into the main keep on the eastside. Like the doors to the corner towers the doors are locked and look to be heavily reinforced with iron.
The walls are all 150 feet long on each side.
The inner keep is 50 feet wide and 75 feet long.
Zork hopes to get a good sleep during the night so they can start exploring the ruins fresh in the morning. He will be looking for a key or tools around the yard for prying open the doors.
Out of Character: I knew something was up with this place that is why I was apprehensive about being away from my horse. Need a quick getaway.
In Character: Having his dogs with him brings Zork a certain amount of comfort but not total relaxation.
Out of Character: Surely whatever it is, we can stand and fight. Especially by the light of the campfire.
Sessativa is the first to spot them. She will point out two large spiders slowly trying to sea up on you from atop the walls. As they get closer to the ground the dogs will start growling, but at the same time back up some.
I will need initiative and combat rolls or other actions you wish to take.
