KNtoran Advance Dungeons & Dragons RPG - Page 155

Durgan saves once only so takes another 2 damage.

Next Attack Durgan hits the spider in front of him causing 9 more damage killing it.

Sessativa smacks the remaining spider for 2 damage. Zork misses. The spider bites another dog for 1 damage.

I will finish the next three rounds after Zork responds.

In Character: Zork fires relentless arrows hoping that his shots are better than the last. Hearing the dogs' yelps makes him angry.

The next three rounds goes by with everyone missing each other. The dogs take an additional 1 point damage each from poison from failing saving throws. Still one spider left in front of Durgan.

The Chainbreaker says...

Durgan continues his attacks, attempting to slowly maneuver past the spider so the others have a clearer shot.

Sessativa switches to the Rod of Magic Missiles, hoping there are enough charges in it, and begins firing.

Durgan Results:
  • Mace attacks on D20 (+2): 10, 21, 8, 11 (4 rolls)
  • Mace damage on D8 (+2): 6, 4, 8, 9 (4 rolls)
  • Rod of MM. 1 per round on D6 (+1): 6, 2, 5, 4 (4 rolls)

Between the wand or magic missiles and Durgans second attack the spider is killed. Looking ahead you see the tunnel is eight feet wide and at least 60 feet long from memory of the fire ball exploding down the hall. You can smell roasted spider in the corridor.

"Those were tougher than the ones outside, I think," Sessativa notes. "Perhaps a different species? A thicker exoskeleton?"

"Give me a second," Durgan says. He lifts his tunic to reveal his wounds and pulls out a wand. Touching it to the bite marks, he winces as he says "Heal!"
"Better to use the wands now, when we have time to rest. Trithereon will provide in the chaos of battle."

Durgan will lead the way down, inspecting the walls, webs and bodies by the light of his helm.

Out of Character: I have two wands, both with unknown charges, so I will just write 3 charges used. And do I remember you have a rule that there are no 1's on healing? The second set of rolls is in case I'm remembering that wrong.
And naturally, if the first two dice heal all 14 damage, I will take a charge back.

Out of Character: Yes that is correct I do not accept 1s when rolling for cure light wounds or any other cure spells except for the heal spell but that is rolled much more differently.

In Character: You walk down through the now mostly cleared corridor since the fireball cleaned out most of the webs and spiders. You see four well blackened roasted spiders laying close to the corner at the end of 60 feet. Looking around the corner you see two more blackened roasted spiders so a total of eight were killed. The corridor extends for 30 feet before you see a door. The door is a bit charred but is still in good shape and functional.
