"Let's hope they don't have any ghosts or invisible people jailed here," Durgan jokes.
Since he found nothing, he will continue onwards.
Walking to the end of the cells you see the room open up into a 40 by 40 room with three exits (No doors) 20 feet wide leading to other rooms. One entry across from where you are now and one to each left and right. I will have a map up soon. That way you can see where you are.
In the room is a desk that faces the cells. Behind the desk and also on the wall across from the desk are shelves. The shelves hold what looks like moldy ruined books and some remains of molded decayed foods.

Durgan and Sessativa, spurred by curiosity, pull down a few books and attempt to brush away the mold to find clues about this place and what it was used for.
Zork comments, "Doesn't this place remind you of the last dungeon we cleared out? The wide hallways, the cells and… no spiders of course but there could be some connection?" Zork is merely trying to be alert about his surroundings as the others check over things.
"I dunno," Durgan replies. "Seems more like a proper jail so far."
At the noise of approaching enemies Durgan looks up from his book, looking left and right. He sends one fireball out to the right corridor as a quick single-action reaction. Sessativa grabs the book she was cleaning and sends a Magic Missle from her rod to the left, before beginning to back away.
"Back to the entrance corridor for a choke point?" He asks Zork.
Out of Character: The only Corridor is the hallway with the jail cells. The spiders will close that path off shortly as the desk and books where you all were at are on the opposite side of the room from the cells.
I will need combat rolls and initiatives. Will you try to fight your way to the cells?
Zork will take up the key and move back towards the cells. This time he decides to use his magical long sword.
Out of Character: I know its a +3 but not sure if it applies to both attack and damage. I put it anyways.
