As Durgan touches the tome on the table he is thrown back against the wall from a burst of magical energy. He takes 22 points of damage from the burst. No saving throw is allowed since he touched and tried to open the book. The book remains closed.
Sessativa is able to tell this is a +3 long sword.
Out of Character: Yes the 100 gp will work since spell was prepared.

The Swift Sword says... Just as Zork is thanking Sessativa for revealing that the sword is the same as the one he already has he sees Durgan thrown back with a lot of damage. "Are you OK man?" he asks with concern knowing that Sessativa is probably going to feel bad about this.
Out of Character: Does fighting with two long swords at the same time have any particular benefit as in getting two attacks per round? Any penalties?

In Character: Sessative looks at Durgan and says please do not touch anything in this room unless I say it is safe. She looks at Zork and says that goes for you too. The chairs are safe just do not touch that tome. She goes over to it and examines it with out touching it. After a few minutes she reaches out and opens it. As it opens a light emits out of it and surrounds her. She gets a wide smile on her face as she stands there staring at the book. She does not move or respond to anyone or anything.
