"This place gets creepier by the second." Zork responds. He uses the blunt end of his weapon to check if the barrels are full or empty. He then looks at Durgan to see if he wants to have fun with the jars.
Out of Character: Oh no, Durgan can't juggle.
In Character: Durgan stands in the doorway as Zork checks the barrels, glancing back at Sessativa. "I have no idea what any of this is, but I wouldn't touch it."
He pulls out a different wand and begins to Detect Magic.
If the barrels aren't magical, Durgan suggests, "It should be safe to open them."
Nothing in this room is magical. The barrels are not empty. Sessativa is still under as the book continues to hold her. There are approximately 5 dozen different jars of stuff on the shelves. It looks like there used to be labels on the but they have long ago faded and dropped off.
Zork taps the barrels to see if it contains liquid but that is merely for curiosity. He declares, "I don't think anything worthwhile is here, let's see what's upstairs."
Zork, aware that there could be traps, uses his sword to tap and poke the steps ahead of him. At the top of the stairs he will look before entering anything.
"Alright, but I don't want to go too far. Just one room up there."
Durgan follows Zork up.
"Stand back," Durgan warns. "I'm going to try magic!" Again using his wand, he detects magic on the door, focusing on the symbol and what it could mean.
