"I bet its for the door downstairs!" Sessativa shouts in glee as she packs all three items away. Dragging Durgan along, she agrees, "Yes, let's keep going, and keep in mind that whoever it is, they might just want to be left alone."
She follows Zork through the door, assuming it's unlocked.

You open the door to a very nice and clean bedroom. The bed is along the outside wall,. It is a large bed that looks freshly made. The scent of lavender is in the air due to the many vases of lavender flowers on the two bed stands, the desk and on the two stands each containing a tome along with a vase. The room is empty of living things as far as you can tell. There is another door across the room.
Zork sighs, "Is this part of the pretty palace?" He sends his dog in to search first and then he does the same. If nothing turns up he inspects the door and then opens it.
Zork says to Sessativa, "This must be where the key is for… " hoping she would either use it or give it to him to open. Either way he was not going to keep a locked door from finding out what's on the next side.
Sessativa opens the tome by the bedside table. IT is a personal journal of the mage who used to live here. The last entry in the book is dated 15 years ago. The tome recounts of his experiences while living in the twin towers and how he was able to tame a few spiders to help him guard the towers from wandering people who seemed to have nothing better to do than disturb him. He goes on to talk about wanting to make a new place where he could be away from it all and grow in power. I just hopes that some of his experiments pan out. The last entry tells of his plan to use a gateway to look at a new place to build a stronghold. He does not tell where he is going.
The key opens up the door. Inside the door is a treasure room. There are four chests on the floor and wardrobe that has a lock on it too.
Zork becomes excited by the prospect of fire but wonders about traps. He sends his dog first to have a look around and then he does the same. Finally, he opens the chests using the edge of his sword rather than with his hands.
