"It's a pretty, swirling portal," she says as she stares in awe. "I wonder where it leads to?"
"Don't touch it!" Durgan warns. "We have no idea what could be on the other side. If whoever was escaping from us went through here, they could be preparing. And they would be in their preferred terrain. Is there any way of knowing from this side if it's a two way portal?"
"I'm not sure… " Sessativa replies, examining the chalk and portal she can see.
Zork orders his dogs to stand still as he does the same, he looks on from the doorway of the room not wanting to be unlucky with any magic.
"Key please," She asks Zork, before going to the chest and trying to unlock it.
Out of Character: So she can't judge anything by looking at the portal, she has to use it to see where it leads?
Maybe Zork should get ready with some rope around his waist, Durgan wouldn't be able to see anyway, and Sessativa is a bit weak to go on her own.
She does not have the experience to see if this is a two way or one way portal. She can guess that it is a two way but unless she tries it she will not know. If it turns out to be a one way portal the rope will not work.
The last key unlocks the chest. Inside she will find a key. She also finds two scrolls and a spell book. At the bottom of the chest are four bars of platinum, and two rings.
She has a quick flick through the spellbook to see if she recognises the effect present in the room, but her ability is limited as she didn't prepare Read Magic today.
Zork is intrigued by all these finds and comments, "This place gets weirder with each door and chest we open." He waits for Sessativa to do her reading.
He suddenly says, "I could send one my dogs by rope if we cannot figure it out, but do we really want to go through there?"
