For the moment, it looks like Durgan will have to again go to another temple for their help. Probably the same temple of Oghma. At the same time, he tries to build rapport with them so they can mutually benefit.

He will continue to provide sermons and training to his faithful while Zork isn't there.

Sessativa will definitely want the scrolls and spellbook, so Zork can get first pick of the rest. I guess we send a messenger down to his fort with the list of gear written on it.

Durgan does go to the temple of Oghma, giving 200 gold in exchange for curing blindness and trying to open friendly dialog between his church and them. As a gift he offers a favour within his church's means to be redeemed at any time.

Out of Character: Well, I'd like you to claim items first. Then Durgan will grab the rest (Would you perhaps prefer the Helm of Brilliance that Durgan currently has instead?).

After that we can sell what's not needed, and split the profits.

Then we can go together to report on the situation to Lady Estari. Ask for more work at the same time.

While Durgan is getting his blindness cured he over hears a couple people talking. They are talking about a particular councilman and his need to control everything. They talk about him having enough people and guards in his pocket that he may be trying to usurp the Earl. If that happens then this village and many in it could find themselves in a bad situation very quickly. One asks if Estari has been bought. The other says she is a hold out but how long can she hold out is something to be seen. More and more of her underlings are talking about getting rid of the earl. Someone should tell the Earl of he danger but no one has been able to make it there as people disappear trying to alert the Earl.

Sessativa is a bit shaken by what she hears, but Durgan is relieved that at least Estari is reliable. But she also has a whole bunch of jewelry that might not have been given to its correct owners, Durgan could ask her about that to test her. Perhaps a truth spell would be in order, but it is beyond him for now. He will have to rely on other tests.

If/when Zork comes into town, they relay everything to him behind closed doors.

Out of Character: Maybe you could send a messenger when you are ready as Zork would not know when you are cured.

In Character: Zork will call a meeting of all and announce how there was an attempt on his life. He will tell the whole battle and how he was victorious. He uses this as a warning to anyone who would attempt it again. He will also spread a rumor that he was granted a special gift that when people try to harm him their souls would be drained and go to hell.
